The story behind SIGNALS FROM SPACE
These signals were analyzed by SETI (Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence)
A few months after the Harmonic Convergence in 1987, (at which I played three concerts in a row for all the people at Mt Shasta during that special time), I was in my home recording studio in Marin County, California, preparing for a Salon Concert that night. All the equipment was turned on for testing, including the first digital sampling synthesizer, the Emulator II (the piece of equipment that recorded "Novus Magnificat - Through the
Stargate"), when I heard a strange sound suddenly come through the speakers.
I remember my reaction at the time, because it was so spontaneous and joyous. I ran to the speakers to get closer to the sound, I think I even hugged them, and I announced to my friend, "They're here! They're HERE!!!" I knew that these were signals from another starsystem, another galaxy, and I felt such love and happiness to know they were contacting me finally. It
was mixed with an ache of homesickness for my star family and the heavenly cosmic spheres!
The sounds were a series of notes in an unusual rythym with a cyclical pattern, interspersed with very high beeps that were irregularly placed inside the pattern. When the pattern finished it's cycle, it repeated again. It was definately not from earth, it was so unusual sounding. It was a joyous sound, as though someone was saying "Hello hello! we just wanted to say hello! And we're so glad to be in contact with you. Hello hello, etc." I immediately turned on the tape recorder to record the signals, as I did whenever a signal came through.
I remember reading at the time, that the Harmonic Convergence was followed by a very rare and unusual opening of a portal in our sector of the universe. And that this opening was so rare, that beings from other dimensions would have an easier time connecting with us here on earth in 3D.
For the next several months, I received various signals. Some of them sounded like they were millions of miles away, others sounded like they were coming from the engine room. Some were so odd sounding, I didn't know what to make of them. I would turn on the system every night, and wait eagerly to see if something was going to come through that night.
At one point, I took the recording of the signals to play at a metaphysical meeting run by Jon Fox, who channels the ascended master, Hilarion. I asked Hilarion to explain what was going on. He explained that the signals had been sent from Maya, (the main star on the Pleiades), to a nearby craft here on earth, and then from the craft directly into my Emulator II. And that if I didn't suspect it already, I was a contactee, and they wanted to
contact me through sound. I asked how did they get in my equipment? He responded, "Easy... they just move an atom over."
One of the beings who had been involved in sending the signals, then spoke through Jon to me, telling me about how my music effects listeners in opening them up to create opportunities for healing and transformation. They mentioned how they didn't care for very much on this planet, but one thing they DID care for very much on this planet, was music. They also told me, --and this really got a laugh from the group, that I had a loyal fan club on the Pleiades. Ha!
I asked Jon why some of the signals had so much static in them, and he stated they had to push through the "density of thought" in the atmosphere here on earth. So I started sending a request to the beings transmitting the signals. I asked them, "Please -- could you try to clean up the signals so there's not so much static?"
On the eve of my birthday on May 9th, I was in the studio, and a new signal came through. It was incredibly clean and clear, hardly any static! As I listened closer, I realized they had managed to insert a line from our Happy Birthday song into the series of beeps and blips. It was absolutely the best birthday present I'd ever received.
Soon after that, they left -- the signals stopped -- and they never returned again. Sigh...! For a while after, I would sit there in the studio next to the instruments, waiting in vain for contact, like a lovesick teenager waiting by the phone for her boyfriend to call.
Eventually, I sent the signals to SETI (Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence) for analysis. When they wrote back, they indicated that the signals did not contain the typical waveform they look for that indicates that the signal has come from outer space. BUT, they mentioned, this did NOT mean that the signals weren't extra-terrestrial in origin. This
analysis confirmed Hilarion's information that the signals, (though they did originally come from outer space), were transmitted to a craft within the earths orb, and then sent into my sound system. So there was no way they could have had the typical waveform from outer space that SETI looks for.
Later, there were groups of people that would gather together to listen to the signals, attempting to decode what they signified. In any case, this was a rare and wonderful occurence for me. I do hope someday they return...
