Marilynn Seits is a composer and pianist originally from New York City. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in music and has been composing, recording and performing professionally for over thirty years, mostly in Jazz and New Age music. Her avid interest in and study of the Eastern healing arts began with her first Yoga lesson back in 1970 at the Integral Yoga Institute in New York City.
She has since traveled extensively in China and the Orient, studying Tai Chi, Qigong and hands-on healing. Her interest in alternative healing methods has inspired her to compose several albums of positive healing music, some of them featuring the piano and some featuring Oriental instruments. She has also played piano on several jazz recordings including "Vibrations", "Karmic Tribute", "Soundscapes" with Peter Ponzol and Abbey Rader, "Sudden Departure" with the Ray Oram Jazz Octet and "Rained Out" with her own band The Vibrations Jazz Ensemble.
