You may already have RealPlayer (or it's cousin RealOne) installed on your computer. If so, you are ready to enjoy listening. If not, below you will find information about how to acquire and configure RealPlayer or RealOne (free versions are available). |

Why can't I hear any music when I click on a link to listen to a song? |
| |
There are a number of possible reasons why you can't hear any music. Please check the following to be sure you have the minimum requirements on your computer to listen to audio on the HealingMusic.org website:
1. RealPlayer must be installed on your computer. Download free player below...
2. You must have a sound card on your computer. All newer computers come with one.
3. You must have speakers or headphones connected to the sound card on your computer. Be sure the speakers are powered on and turned up. |

How do I get the free RealPlayer so I can listen to audio clips? |
| |
Below are downloadable FREE RealAudio version 8 and RealOne players for each type of computer platform. Save the player it to your desktop or a folder/directory of your choice. It will take some time to complete the download process. You can browse the website while you wait.
RealPlayer Version 8 works fine with all music samples on HealingMusic.org  Download RealPlayer 8 for Windows * (5 megs)
Download RealPlayer 8 for Mac OS 9 or earlier * (6 megs)
Download RealPlayer 8 for Unix * (8 megs)
RealOne Player is only necessary for Mac OS X
It's the latest player but not necessarily the best to sample music on the internet. RealNetworks requires more information from you when you download this player including creating an account with a password so be aware of this before choosing this version instead of the version 8 player above.

How do I install the RealPlayer Version 8 after I download it? |
| |
Once you are finished downloading the software, do the following:
1. Double-click the "RealPlayer8" icon on your desktop or from folder/directory you saved it in, and it will ask you a few questions.
2. Allow it to install in the default folder/directory.
3. When it displays a number of check boxes that are installation options in an early install screen, we suggest you uncheck them all.
4. Selecting the Modem speed is important to be sure the audio will play smoothly. If you're not sure what speed your modem is then select the default of 28.8 K Modem.
5. If you do not have another audio player installed on your computer then it is fine to allow the RealPlayer to be the default media player for supported types.
6. You'll know that the player installed correctly if an introductory announcement plays automatically after you click "finish."
NOTE: Although their ads encourage you to upgrade to a newer (paid) version, this RealPlayer is FREE and it does everything you need to do to hear all the music featured on HealingMusic.org as well as other sites on the Internet. |

How do I configure and optimize the RealPlayer Version 8 after I install it? |

Customize the Windows version of RealPlayer 8 as follows:
1. Click on an audio hyperlink on HealingMusic.org to test out the audio. If the audio plays consistently and smoothly then you're setup. However, if you find that your listening is inconsistent and choppy or stops then starts again, there is probably either Internet congestion or your Internet connection is slower than your RealPlayer settings and it can't keep up with the streaming audio it's receiving. Follow these instructions to optimize and fine-tune your settings in RealPlayer.
2. Go to the menu "View" and select "Preferences"
3. Select the tab "Connection"
4. In the Buffered Play section, be sure it's selected to "Buffer entire clip up to available memory".
5. You may also need to change both the Normal and Maximum bandwidth choices if you still have problems |

How do I install the RealOne Player after I download it? |

Be aware that you will be required to create a password and login with the RealOne player installation to Real.com
1. When it's done downloading, double-click the "RealOnePlayer" icon on your desktop or from folder/directory you saved it in, and it will ask you a few questions.
2. Allow it to install in the default folder/directory.
3. When it displays a number of check boxes that are installation options in an early install screen, we suggest you uncheck them all.
